Computer Guided Surgery in Salins & Freedom, CA
This technology was developed by Nobel Biocare. Nobel guide is a revolutionary treatment planning and surgical implementation system that incorporates 3D CT scans, sophisticated computer software, and biochemical engineering, all coming together to enable the oral surgeon to carry out implant procedures with unrivaled accuracy and ease. This merging of knowledge and experience achieves not only increased safety, precise implant placement and enhanced treatment outcome.
This process includes the planning of your case on a three-dimensional digital image (CT-SCAN) where we can determine the anatomical features of the site to be treated including the relationship of important structures like nerves, your maxillary sinuses and the spaces of your salivary glands. Once we complete the planning, a computer fabricates a guide transferring the information we provided in the 3D planning. This guide is then utilized during surgery to place your implants. This computer designed guides will aid Dr. Herrera during the dental implant placement surgery, and the restorative dentist and laboratorist in the fabrication of temporary or final dental restorations (crowns or bridges).
In addition, the Ipad driven surgical drill, Osseocare Pro, uses the implant planning data to aid in the proper drill selection, while also recording important clinical data regarding the patient’s jaw bone conditions.
